Steve Simon
Before being elected, Simon served in the Minnesota House of Representatives for ten years representing the communities of St. Louis Park and Hopkins. Simon also served as Assistant Attorney General of Minnesota and worked as a lawyer in private practice for several years.
Michael Adams
Adams is Kentucky’s 86th Secretary of State. Elected in 2019, he has designed and implemented the most significant reforms to Kentucky’s election process since the 19th century, expanding voting access while ensuring ballot integrity. He is an experienced election law attorney who built a national practice in the field prior to his election.
Christine Chen, Executive Director
As both the founding executive director and current Executive Director, Chen has strengthened and expanded APIAVote’s partners into 22 states. APIAVote’s research and polling of Asian American voters and their regional trainings and field programs have strengthened the local grassroots programs in reaching and mobilizing Asian American and Pacific Islander voters.
Arturo Vargas, Chief Executive Officer
Arturo Vargas is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO) Educational Fund, a national non-profit, non-partisan organization working to strengthen American democracy by promoting the full participation of Latinos in civic life.
Ramya Raghavan, Head of Brand and Reputation Marketing, EMEA
Raghavan has been involved in the political world at a great capacity through her various positions. Most recently, she served as the Head of Politics and Causes for Google+. Previously, she was a manager for Nonprofits and Activism, then News and Politics for YouTube, as well as performing communications for the Center for American Progress.
Khalid Pagan, Politics and Government Outreach Manager
Khalid Pagan is a member of Meta’s Politics and Government Outreach team. In his role, Khalid manages the company’s US civic partnerships and also works with governments to ensure they are implementing best practices for reaching their constituents on Meta’s suite of products. Khalid is a New York City native who graduated from Yale University and is currently based in Washington DC.
Tonya Rice, Elections Vertical Strategy Leader
At AWS, Tonya Rice advises state & local governments on how to address their most complex challenges by securely modernizing systems that drive electoral, legislative, and political processes. Prior to AWS, Tonya served as Director of Elections and Chief Data Officer for Cook County, Illinois, one of the largest US election jurisdictions, where her responsibilities included leadership across a diverse Security and Technology group.
Patrick Sweeney, Political Director
A San Jose School of Library and Information Sciences alum, Sweeney works for the San Mateo County (CA) Library and manages the East Palo Alto and Portola Valley Public Libraries. He is active in the American Library Association where he is an at-large member of their governing Council. As a California Library Association member, Mr. Sweeney has most recently served on their Conference Committee.
Laura Vogel, Senior Advisor for Political Affairs
Vogel is responsible for developing programs to encourage Co-op member and staff engagement in political issues that matter to the Co-op family and is the program manager for their voter initiative, Co-ops Vote. She is involved in NRECA’s political training programs, serving as an instructor for the Grassroots Course for co-op Directors.
Michelle Bishop, Disability Advocacy Specialist for Voting Rights
Bishop joined the NDRN in 2013, where she provides training and technical assistance to the P&A network regarding voting rights and access for voters with disabilities, coordinates the Voting Working Group, and manages the voting lists. Previously, she was the Assistant Director of Public Policy & Advocacy at Paraquad Center for Independent Living in St. Louis.
Judd Choate, Director of Elections
Judd Choate has been the Director of the Division of Elections at the Colorado Department of State since 2009, and previously served as president of the National Association of State Election Directors (NASED). He has also practiced law privately and has clerked at the Colorado Supreme Court. He holds a J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law, and an M.A. and Ph.D. from Purdue University.
Tammy Patrick, CEO of Programs, Election Center
Chief Executive Officer for Programs at the National Association of Election Officials (commonly known as the Election Center), Tammy Patrick has been working in the election administration space since 2003. Previously, she led Democracy Works’ efforts to foster a voter-centric elections system and worked to provide election officials across the country with the tools and knowledge they need to best serve their voters.
Lindsay Torrico, Senior Vice President and Executive Director
Lindsay Torrico serves as Senior Vice President of Bank Community Engagement for the American Bankers Association and Executive Director of the ABA Foundation. She is responsible for building initiatives that help banks be a positive force for good in their communities.

Amanda Centers has over 10 years of association management experience centered on fundraising and professional development services for service members, veterans, and military spouses.
Natalie Tran, Co-founder
Natalie Tran serves as the Executive Director of the CAA Foundation at the Creative Artists Agency (CAA). Most recently, Tran led the formation of the Civic Alliance, a nonpartisan group of leading companies working together to build a future where everyone can participate in shaping our country. In 2018, Tran co-founded I am a voter, a nonpartisan awareness campaign that aims to create a cultural shift around voting and civic engagement.
Jerika L. Richardson, Senior Vice President, Equitable Justice & Strategic Initiative
Jerika L. Richardson is Senior Vice President for Equitable Justice & Strategic Initiatives at the National Urban League. She leads the organization’s advocacy, public education, and strategic work on civic engagement, census, voting rights and ballot access, criminal justice and policing reform, expungement, ending gun violence, combating extremism, and other justice and equity related areas.
Alexis Bechtol, Director of Community Affairs
In her role in Community Affairs at Levi Strauss and Company (LS&Co.), Alexis leads corporate grantmaking and manages a broad portfolio of initiatives to drive LS&Co’s leadership in corporate social responsibility. Included in this portfolio are voting engagement and voting rights, gun violence prevention, equality and sustainability.
Rebecca Vangelos, Public Policy Lead
Rebecca Vangelos is a Public Policy Lead at Snap Inc., where she spearheads initiatives in U.S. Policy and Partnerships. She helps manage engagements with industry trade associations and issue-based coalitions to advance policy objectives. also leads collaborations with nonprofits and governments worldwide, raising awareness on critical issues, such as youth mental health, civic engagement, the fentanyl crisis, sexual harm, bullying, and more.
Armando Salud, Deputy of Elections
Salud is a dynamic and accomplished leader in election administration and civic engagement. As Deputy of Elections in Yolo County, Armando has a proven track record of successfully managing all aspects of elections management. He is a Certified Elections/Registration Administrator, a California Registered Election Official, and a Credentialed California County Senior Executive. Salud’s commitment to excellence extends beyond his work in Yolo County.
Brian Miller, Executive Director (Ex-officio Member of the Steering Committee)
Miller has served as executive director of Nonprofit VOTE since 2014 and has provided oversight of the National Voter Registration Day work since Nonprofit VOTE assumed management of the holiday in 2017. Miller has over two decades of nonprofit executive director experience and a strong background and track record in program management, organizational leadership, and civic engagement.
Matt Singer, Founder of National Voter Registration Day (Ex-officio Member of the Steering Committee)
Matt founded National Voter Registration Day in 2012 and previously served as the Executive Director of the Bus Federation Civic Fund (now the Alliance for Youth Organizing). He is an organizer, a writer, a small business owner, and a three-time college dropout. His writing and/or exploits have made their way into the pages of The New Republic, In These Times, and The Washington Post. He helped found Forward Montana Foundation, a local Bus affiliate. He believes in 1) Democracy, 2) Fun, and 3) Winning. Not always in that order.
