Join us for National Voter Registration Day September 16, 2025!

  • Be nonpartisan. We can only work with groups who do not represent a party or candidate.
  • Be inclusive. Anyone who requests a registration form should receive one, regardless of party, beliefs, or other factors.
  • Be aware of your state’s voter registration laws. This includes any training requirements and deadlines for returning completed voter registration forms.
  • Be non-transactional. You cannot give items of value ‘in exchange’ for a voter registration, or restrict incentives to only those who register.
  • Have fun! National Voter Registration Day is a national holiday!

  • Promotional
    • You plan to promote the civic holiday to your network via e-blast of 500+ contacts at least 3x leading up to the holiday. The National Voter Registration Day team will provide promotional materials, email copy, sample press releases, etc. to help support your communications.
  • Recruitment
    • You plan to recruit 30+ local partners from your affiliate, retail, partner, or chapter network, OR register 3,000+ voters on the holiday. The National Voter Registration Day team will provide a unique, trackable URL for partner sign-ups to monitor your organization’s recruitment progress and can also provide a custom and trackable voter registration link if requested.
  • Employee Engagement
    • You plan to engage over 500 of your employees by offering voter registration opportunities online, at headquarters, other offices, or worksites. You will receive materials to support your voter registration efforts such as unique voter registration links, QR codes, and more.
  • Media (Social / Traditional)
    • You plan to drive over 300,000 social media impressions, including through mobilizing nonpartisan artists, influencers, celebrities, and more to support the holiday. You will receive our holiday-specific message guidance for consideration, and agree to use the hashtags #NationalVoterRegistrationDay and #VoteReady. OR You plan to drive 10 or more news stories in traditional (including online) media, or to mobilize nonpartisan artists, influencers, celebrities, and more to support the holiday. OR You plan to create at least one PSA to promote the holiday across your network.
