Hello Funders & Leaders
One of the best ways to support long-term change in the communities you invest in is to empower that community’s collective voice. And as you also know, voting is one of the most powerful tools that communities have to advocate for themselves. As members of the nonpartisan nonprofit community, you are uniquely positioned to use your voice to promote the critical work of voter engagement to your grantees and network ahead of the November midterm elections.
National Voter Registration Day, the nation’s largest nonpartisan civic holiday dedicated entirely to registering the millions of Americans who are still left out of the democratic process, falls on September 15 this year—a date well in advance of sweeping voter registration deadlines and a perfect opportunity to get communities prepared to make their voices heard. If you encourage your grantees and network to sign up as partners by August 31, National Voter Registration Day will send them free swag and access to a comprehensive library of resources and support so that they’ll have everything they need for a successful and joyful celebration on September 15.
