Aflac was a first-time holiday partner and financial sponsor this year. In addition to employee outreach to encourage registration, AFLAC partnered with the comedy troupe Second City to produce a sketch on the importance of voter registration this year.

The ASCAP Citizen campaign, in partnership with HeadCount, launched with a week of action promoting National Voter Registration Day on September 22. To encourage and celebrate democracy, the NVRD week featured a special ASCAP Citizen Instagram Live event with pop trio Avenue Beat and video messages about voting from 20+ top ASCAP members, including Brothers Osborne, Ingrid Michaelson, Jermaine Dupri, Pinar Toprak and more. All ASCAP members and music fans alike were invited to share their own ASCAP Citizen messages on social media, while ASCAP employees and advocacy lists also received a targeted email on the holiday reminding them to register or check their status. The ASCAP Citizen campaign continued to promote registration and voter awareness leading up to the election, garnering 440M+ traditional media impressions and 2M+ social media impressions overall.

Airbnb launched its Civic Action Center and a civic engagement program ahead of last year’s National Voter Registration Day. On the holiday itself, Airbnb promoted voter registration on its social media channels and sent emails to employees, hosts, and travelers to ensure they registered to vote ahead of the elections.

All in Campus Democracy Challenge engaged over 45 campuses in National Voter Registration Day. The organization also led a virtual couch party on the holiday, text banking over 3,000 people.

Alliance for Youth Organizing and Students Learn Students Vote teamed up to host their annual nationwide Campus Takeover supporting almost 1300 college and universities across the country with campus-specific voter registration information and calls to action.

APIA Vote coordinated a broad coalition of partners that spread calls to register far and wide in the AAPI community both online and in communities. Their coalition work included Alpha Kappa Delta Phi and Lambda Phi Epsilon, the country’s largest AAPI sorority and fraternity.

Libraries are always a huge part of National Voter Registration Day, and this year the American Library Association saw around 455 libraries participate in the holiday and lead outreach in their communities around voter registration.

AAAJ’s social media feeds featured powerful testimonials from members, including its Executive Director, about the importance of voting to the AAPI community.

Andrew Goodman Foundation supported 70 college campuses in signing up as NVRD partners to host virtual and in-person voter registration programming (per local COVID-19 restrictions) that helped 2,849 students register to vote and engaged nearly 11,000 students with voter registration and voting information, while also promoting the holiday via social media.

A founding organization of the holiday, APALA spread the word online and coordinated coalitions of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) partners. A featured event was a star-studded virtual talk-show with the 2020 Project, featuring Dante Bosco and Ruby Ibarra, to encourage registration. APALA held text and phonebanking sessions leading up to and throughout the day, as well as a pre-holiday virtual game show. APALA received an Outreach Grant from National Voter Registration Day to ensure robust participation in the holiday among the AAPI community, resulting in 48 chapters nationwide signing on as official partners and holding events in their communities.

APIA Vote coordinated a broad coalition of partners that spread calls to register far and wide in the AAPI community both online and in communities. Their coalition work included Alpha Kappa Delta Phi and Lambda Phi Epsilon, the country’s largest AAPI sorority and fraternity.

Through its #YallaVote campaign, AAI coordinated with more than 50 local partners. Arab American community organizations, small businesses, student groups, and places of worship hosted both traditional and virtual voter registration drives outfitted with #YallaVote swag, National Voter Registration Day voter materials, and #YallaCountMeIn 2020 Census materials.

BIPAC organized its annual Employee Voter Registration Week (EVRW) to coincide with this year’s holiday. This year, 69 EVRW partner organizations educated and provided their employees and stakeholders with resources about voter registration, key deadlines, and election changes.

Blue Apron held its inaugural “Red, White, and Blue Apron” civic engagement campaign this year, including employee-facing voter registration drives on site at its distribution centers and CEO calls to action on social media.

CAA was a financial sponsor of this year’s holiday, and also spearheaded unprecedented levels of corporate and artist engagement through its co-founding of the Civic Alliance coalition and the I am a voter. campaign.

To celebrate National Voter Registration Day, Campus Election Engagement Project worked with its Student Fellows and campus advisors to promote voter registration and voter engagement on college campuses across the country.

In 2020, more U.S. voters identified as LGBT than ever before, thanks in part to over 65 LGBTQ+ community centers holding online and in-person voter registration events during September’s National Voter Registration Day as featured in this compilation video.

Hundreds of company members of the Civic Alliance, a coalition of businesses working together to build a future where everyone participates in sharing our country, activated on National Voter Registration Day, sharing calls to action with their far-reaching audiences of employees and consumers in storefronts, on the airwaves, and online. The Civic Alliance also held several pre-holiday webinars and provided toolkits for member companies to assist them in designing an effective voter registration celebration on September 22 and beyond.

The Civics Center received an outreach grant from National Voter Registration Day to support its work around National High School Voter Registration Week, which was anchored around the holiday and registered high schoolers through largely digital activations throughout the week.

Comedy Central made waves by launching its Vote Naked campaign, focused on the unique advantages of voting from home, on this year’s National Voter Registration Day.

CMT participated in the Vote For Your Life campaign and activated via social media and on-air on September 22.

Comic Relief US: returning premier partner Comic Relief US, the nonprofit organization behind Red Nose Day, supported National Voter Registration Day primarily via social media, creating an original promotional video that ran on its Red Nose Day account.

National Voter Registration Day was a centerpiece of the Co-Ops Vote campaign, in which dozens of grocery and electric co-ops across the country organized events in their communities to share voting information. Ranging from tabling events in rural Arizona to a virtual dance-off for youth co-op members, events activated co-op members nationwide to get registered and ready to vote.

Democracy Fund was a Premier Sponsor for the holiday and sits on National Voter Registration Day’s Steering Committee as well.

Democracy Works activated their 300+ partners to participate in NVRD by sharing their tool TurboVote with their communities. Voters who sign up with TurboVote receive registration assistance, mail ballot request assistance, and election reminders so they are always #VoteReady! By harnessing the power of social media and mobilizing their communities through virtual events, Democracy Works provided registration assistance to over 300,000 TurboVote users on the holiday itself, and assisted over 1,345,000 users in the days leading up to NVRD!

eBay raised awareness of the holiday through a variety of digital activities, including posts on its eBay Main Street social media accounts, with direct emails to eBay Main Street members and banner ads on eBay.com. All activities directed users to its Civic Action Tool for localized voter registration and election information. In total, more than 140,000 individuals used the Civic Action Tool for voting information, and more than 5,000 people use the tool to register to vote in their state.

As part of its Vote Earth campaign, Earth Day Network members participated in the holiday on campuses, as part of faith communities, and online to get climate voters registered and share voting information.

The EAC celebrated National Voter Registration Month for all of September in keeping with its standing resolution recognizing the holiday. On September 22, it shared a video and blog posting on how and why to register to vote, particularly in light of the pandemic, and hosted a pre-holiday roundtable on voter registration featuring the four EAC commissioners.

As a national professional organization for election officials and voter registration administrators, the Election Center promoted National Voter Registration Day across its network, on social media, and passed a resolution endorsing the holiday.

More than 130 libraries nationwide from the EveryLibrary network signed on as official holiday partners as part of this year’s campaign.

Facebook’s Voting Information Center registered upwards of 4 million voters this cycle, thanks partially to a star-studded 30 minute Vote-A-Thon video promoting the holiday. Users of Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger received in-app notifications and promotions of registration deadlines and resources for the entire week surrounding September 22.

Fair Elections Center and its Campus Vote Project provided updated voter registration guides for all 50 states and the District of Columbia that were used on the NVRD website, and conducted outreach to college students at 280 partner campuses across the country to encourage them to register to vote on September 22.

Feeding America had 48 member food banks in 24 states participate in NVRD activities, including in-person voter registration drives, social media posts to drive traffic to its online voter registration site, and soliciting pledges to vote from the people it serves. Feeding Texas received an Outreach Grant to support its work with food pantries across the state serving vulnerable populations.

On this year’s holiday and throughout the electoral cycle, Global Citizen’s Just Vote platform encouraged young Americans to check their registration status and organizations across sectors to commit to giving employees paid time off to vote. On September 22, they published a blog posting entitled “6 Ways You Can Take Action on National Voter Registration Day.”

A first-time Premier Partner, Glossier’s homepage was taken over on September 22 with calls to register to vote and make your voice heard, and they also shared content on TikTok and Instagram to remind users about how easy and important it was to register to vote ahead of state deadlines.

The Google Doodle on September 22 highlighted National Voter Registration Day, and platform users received in-product notifications across Google and YouTube to encourage registration and direct them to state-specific registration sites.

A founding partner of National Voter Registration Day, HeadCount had its biggest National Voter Registration Day ever in 2020, registering over 22,000 voters in just 24 hours. Nearly 600 artists and influencers were mailed a signature HeadCount VOTE mask, shirt, and clipboard with instructions to post across social media channels, and HeadCount partners in the field hosted registration events in storefronts, at breweries, community events, and also sent email, text, and social media message encouraging registration.

Many Hillels across the country incorporated voter registration into all of their student-facing programming in September, making sure it was front and center for students, in connection with National Voter Registration Day. Hillel campus chapters utilized digital outreach and hosted covid-safe voter registration drives locally and online to encourage students to register to vote.

Independent Sector built organizational capacity and mobilized advocates to help voters in nonprofit communities exercise their right to vote. It used its digital presence and network communications to raise awareness of National Voter Registration Day and encourage nonprofit sector participation in the holiday.

Just Brands leveraged social media to issue calls to register, and its custom Just VOTE water bottles–emblazoned with a QR code that directed users to a voter registration portal–were sported by holiday partners across the country.

Through its #KPVotes initiative, involving email and social media outreach, Kaiser Permanente registered upwards of 4,000 voters with activity centered around National Voter RegistrationDay.

Levi Strauss & Co. once again celebrated the holiday by empowering employees and consumers to get registered and get informed ahead of the November election. The Levi’s brand held an Instagram Live with IGNITE, and the company posted about the importance of the day on social media and on their blog with a post entitled “42 Days to Make a Difference,” highlighting the different ways in which the company was getting out the vote through November 3.

Logo produced a video encouraging LGBTQ voters to participate in the 2020 elections and released it on social media on this year’s holiday, feeding into the broader Vote For Your Life campaign.

The League of Women Voters, a founding partner of the holiday, has always been among its largest national network partners. This year was no exception, as the League used a blog posting and social media to uplift the approximately 600 Leagues holding National Voter Registration Day events in person and online across the country.

As part of its broader 2020 campaign to expand voter access, on National Voter Registration Day, Lyft sent emails, push notifications, banner images, and in-app notifications to riders and drivers reminding them to register. Lyft also celebrated the holiday via its social media accounts. Through its Voting Access Hub and partnerships with When We All Vote and Vote.org, Lyft helped nearly 30,000 people make a transportation plan for voting, verify their registration, or register to vote.

MOAA and the Secure Families Initiative participated in the the Military Vote Coalition and used social media and its online presence to raise awareness of voter registration deadlines for its community members leading up to and on the holiday itself.

MTV drove traffic to its signature Vote For Your Life campaign to encourage voter registration and mail-in ballot requests on the holiday.

Under their nonpartisan “Our Votes. Their Future.” electoral advocacy campaign, NAEYC engaged thousands of early childhood educators and families during the 2020 elections, including on National Voter Registration Day. To celebrate the holiday, they sent a day-of email to their 60k members and advocates with voter registration links and resources, a social media toolkit, and other voting information. From encouraging voters to make a voting plan, to creating new resources specifically for the early learning community, NAEYC Affiliates and early learning programs from across the country joined in creative efforts to get current and future generations of voters prepared to cast a ballot.

NALEO Educational Fund’s ¡Ve Y Vota! (Go Vote!) campaign crafted bilingual (English and Spanish) calls to action to register eligible Latino voter, including text messaging, tweets, posts and live broadcast on social media to activate its networks around this year’s holiday.

National Council of Nonprofits encouraged their 25,000 plus nonprofit members to participate in National Voter Registration Day via online calls to action and internal membership appeals.

The National Low Income Housing Coalition actively encouraged National Voter Registration Day participation among its network of housing providers, tenant associations, homeless service agencies, and advocacy coalitions.

NAACP was a recipent of an NVRD outreach grant and worked with around 80 youth and college division chapters to organize young voters on National Voter Registration Day, as well as spreading the word online.

NAMI celebrated National Voter Registration Day with its state and local affiliate leaders across the county and as part of its Vote4MentalHealth campaign, promoting voter registration activities on and around September 22 and encouraging its advocates to register to vote or check their registration.

Secretaries of State across the country, including National Voter Registration Day Steering Committee members Sec. Steve Simon (MN) and Sec. Kim Wyman (WA), celebrated the holiday with high-profile registration events. NASS issued a resolution in support of the holiday and a press release on September 22, along with social media posts that encouraged voters to visit CanIVote.org for trusted election information.

The National Association of State Election Directors (NASED) issued a press release on September 22 and shared social media calls to action for eligible individuals to register to vote, check their registration status and update it as needed, and otherwise prepare to participate in the November election in keeping with NASED’s resolution recognizing the holiday. NASED members across the country likewise celebrated the holiday by promoting voter registration ahead of state deadlines.

NCAI hosted its own livestream event on the holiday featuring tribal leaders, organizations, and Native Vote advocates across Indian Country, promoted the holiday during a Native American Voting Rights in Arizona livestream, and led a Twitter storm.

NDRN used social media to uplift the importance of getting every individual with a disability registered and prepared to cast a ballot and activated its national network of state-based disability rights organizations to register voters with disabilities.

The National Vote at Home Institute used this year’s holiday to run a digital campaign in five states urging voters to get registered as part of its broader efforts to promote voter-centric and convenient voting options for all Americans.

Throughout the day, NerdsVote and their celebrity supporters like Genevieve Padalecki, Felicia Day and Ian Harding signal-boosted the importance of registering to vote on their social media profiles, generating over 400k impressions! During the week of National Voter Registration Day, voice actors Nolan North (Uncharted franchise) and Matt Mercer (Critical Role) guested on the NerdsVote Instagram Live show Between 2 Nerds to encourage their myriad fans to jump on board and get registered!

New Leaders Council shared information on voter registration and encouraged its networks to register via social media.

Nonprofit VOTE recruited over 250 nonprofits to participate in this year’s holiday, and used social media to share the word far and wide.

Oportun celebrated National Voter Registration Day by activating hundreds of the financial institution’s retail locations across the country to encourage employees and customers to register to vote. They also leveraged their social media channels to get the word out about the holiday.

Paramount Network drove traffic to its signature Vote For Your Life campaign to encourage voter registration and mail-in ballot requests on the holiday.

As part of its impact campaign around Participant’s film John Lewis Good Trouble, the company used National Voter Registration Day to encourage its audiences to #MakeGoodTrouble and get registered and ready to vote. Participant was also a Premier Sponsor of the holiday.

PayPal celebrated this year’s holiday via its PayPal Votes initiative, including posting information on its employee portal about voter registration and encouraging employees to get themselves and their communities registered to vote.

Pop TV drove traffic to its signature Vote For Your Life campaign to encourage voter registration and mail-in ballot requests on the holiday.

Postmates used this year’s holiday to kick off its virtual voting workshops for its fleet of drives, while also reminding users to get registered through in-app registration calls to action and dedicated emails that registered upwards of 4,000 voters.

Reddit’s 2020 Up the Vote initiative and its Voting in America series encouraged platform users to get registered and ready to cast a vote both on and off the platform. As a part of its campaign, Reddit placed billboards across the country that highlighted the close margins of local elections by comparing them to the vote counts of everyday Reddit posts. And on National Voter Registration Day, they used a blog posting with an original video to raise awareness of registration resources and also hosted two Ask Me Anything (AMA) sessions with the National Voter Registration Day team and the two Secretaries of State on the holiday’s Steering Committee.

On social media and via a featured article on its website, Refinery29 used this year’s holiday to ensure that its readers made sure to register to vote, driving traffic to its custom Election 2020 Resource Hub.

Register2Vote was one of the four tools embedded on the National Voter Registration Day website that let voters register or begin the registration process online. For users who were not eligible for online registration, Register2Vote sent a free pre-printed and pre-filled form, along with a stamped envelope, to make the paper registration process as simple as possible. More than 22,000 voters registered using Register2Vote on this year’s holiday.

RISE worked with sports teams, leagues, and high-profile indiivdual athletes to share voter registration calls to action this September 22.

Rock the Vote promoted National Voter Registration Day via social media, email blasts, livestreams with university partners, and SMS outreach to its lists. Brand partners such as Hulu and Nike amplified the day’s call to action, as did local-level Rock the Vote relational organizing fellows and Ambassadors. More than 200,000 individuals registered to vote or confirmed their registration status using the Rock the Vote tools on this year’s holiday, marking Rock the Vote’s biggest National Voter Registration Day ever.

Salesforce used National Voter Registration Day as the kickoff for its election-day programming, including an email to all U.S. employees urging them to get registered and make a plan to vote. Salesforce also created a custom module on Trailhead to help its employees and partners better understand avenues for civic engagement in 2020 and beyond. Over 700 employees served as nonpartisan election day workers using volunteer time off and ran voter engagement programs, read more about the results here.

Seventh Generation alerted its employees and community about this year’s holiday through social media posts and a National Voter Registration Day Twitter party for youth climate voters. They also donated cleaning products to nonprofit groups to help them hold safe in-person events on this year’s holiday.

SiriusXM Pandora produced a star-studded artist compilation video with calls to get registered that was released on this year’s holiday and promoted across the brand’s social media channels. National Voter Registration Day was also integrated into SiriusXM’s political programming to flood the airways with civic content and calls to action on the holiday. Pandora listeners also heard Artist Audio Messages from artists across a variety of genres that encouraged listeners to make sure they were vote ready, accompanied with a direct link to NationalVoterRegistrationDay.org.

theSkimm’s 2020 #WeCanDecide election campaign was dedicated to equipping millennial women with the info and tools they needed to cast their ballot, no matter when or how they voted. As part of its efforts, theSkimm partnered with National Voter Registration Day to reach voters across the country by way of emails, social posts, and explanatory guides to encourage them to register and participate in the 2020 election.

The Smithsonian Channel used patriotic posts on social media to make sure that its audiences knew there was still time to register to vote and exercise their civic duty in the November elections.

Snap’s in-app civic activations leading up to and on National Voter Registration Day resulted in helping more than 1.24 million Snapchat users register to vote, of which more than half of which were first-time voters. In celebration of National Voter Registration Day, Snapchat debuted custom voting-themed creative tools including filters, stickers, augmented reality and more to encourage Snapchatters to express themselves as voters. Snap als featured voting-focused Snap Stories and resources in the in-app Voter Guide to help historically disenfranchised communities access information about every stage of the voting process.

Spotify’s “Play Your Part” campaign worked throughout the election cycle to help podcasters, listeners, and artists alike get engaged in the 2020 US elections. On National Voter Registration Day, all Spotify users received a notification with registration information, and Spotify featured curated voting-themed playlists and artist partnerships, particularly targeting youth and first-time voters. Spotify employees also participated in an internal event on the holiday to raise awareness of voting deadlines and inspire action.

Target employees and customers received notifications about National Voter Registration Day via a banner ad in the weekly coupon, social media, and email notifications on the holiday. Target’s social media accounts also shared out registration calls to action on the holiday, directing users to Target’s Vote411 site.

Tumblr celebrated the holiday by reminding users what hope looks like utilizing a homepage national ad unit to drive users to an on-platform voter registration tool. The ad unit garnered over 7 million impressions, over 12,000 engagements, and countless registered voters.

Democracy Works activated their 300+ partners to participate in NVRD by sharing their tool TurboVote with their communities. Voters who sign up with TurboVote receive registration assistance, mail ballot request assistance, and election reminders so they are always #VoteReady! By harnessing the power of social media and mobilizing their communities through virtual events, Democracy Works provided registration assistance to over 300,000 TurboVote users on the holiday itself, and assisted over 1,345,000 users in the days leading up to NVRD!

TV Land participated in ViacomCBS’s far-reaching Vote for Your Life campaign via social media calls to action.

In 2020, Twitter users on September 22 saw #NationalVoterRegistrationDay and #VoteReady everywhere they turned and in the top US trends for much of the day. @NatlVoterRegDay earned 1.1M Tweet impressions, and holiday hashtags #NationalVoterRegistrationDay and #VoteReady saw 293,000 Tweets from 192,000 authors. Twitter made its biggest push ever to encourage people to register to vote and confirm their registration status. For National Voter Registration Day every person with a Twitter account located within the United States was shown: – A home timeline prompt encouraging them to register to vote or confirm their registration via TurboVote, a tool from the nonpartisan, nonprofit organization Democracy Works, and to Tweet out these resources. The prompt earned over 94.9M impressions, a 4.3x increase from a similar message in 2018. – A push alert that directs them to a landing page with additional voter registration information. These were also available in an election hub with a voter education PSA information in English and Spanish. – A promoted campaign from @TwitterGov, which included a takeover of the US Promoted Trend Spotlight with registration resources from TurboVote which earned over 79.9M Trend impressions and 8.4M Tweet impressions. – Twitter hashtag emoji with #NationalVoterRegistrationDay and #VoteReady to empower civic conversation across the country. – The prompt and push alert was available in over 40 languages, depending on each person’s individual app settings. – In August, prior to National Voter Registration Day, Twitter also launched its first ever voter registration search prompt in partnership with Vote.Gov. When people searched for key terms related to voter registration on Twitter, they would see a prompt in English or Spanish pointing them to official sources. In addition, celebrities and influencers Tweeted with #YourVoiceYourVote, sharing important voter registration PSAs using Voice Tweets that linked to voter registration and absentee ballot information.

Uber riders and drivers received a push notification and in-app integration with calls to register to vote and request their mail-in ballot, as well as emails on the holiday and social media posts. Ahead of the holiday, Uber hosted a podcast highlighting National Voter Registration Day and other civic holidays.

Mayors, many in partnership with youth leaders and youth councils in their cities, hosted online and in-person voter registration events and calls to action across the country. More than 150 cities nationwide participated in USCM’s voter engagement initiatives ahead of the November election.

National Voter Registration Day served as a tentpole moment in Univision’s #VotaConmigo (Vote With Me) campaign. On the holiday itself, Univision activated a companywide multi-platform roadblock including national and local television and radio segments, PSAs, digital townhalls, social media posts featuring the network’s talent wearing #VotaConmigo t-shirts and empowering Latinos to register to vote.

United Way Worldwide used #VoteUnited on social media to amplify its network’s efforts across the country on the holiday, with over 272 National Voter Registration Day posts from 178 different authors.

On this year’s holiday, all VICE platforms went dark for an hour, replaced by a message to vote and complemented by all-day widgets and calls to action to get registered. They also produced original videos on youth and voting issues and partnered with Refinery29 on a Fashion Week initiative to push out registration information.

On this year’s holiday, Vote.org launched its partnership with WhatsApp to bring voter registration tools and resources to millions of users in both English and Spanish. They also announced a new partnership with Be My Eyes, a platform that connects blind and visually impaired users to sighted volunteers, to help them access critical voter tools and resources. Vote.Org partnered with dozens of high-profile corporate partners, such as the NBA, Shake Shack, the CW Network, and Saks Fith Avenue to promote voter registration, and supported artists and influencers such as Taylor Swift and the U.S. Soccer Women’s National team to spread the word about voter registration. Vote.Org’s CEO also participated in an IG Live and Twitter chat on September 22 in conjunction with the holiday. More than 110,000 voters registered on Vote.Org on this year’s holiday, and nearly 500,000 voters checked their registration status through the site that day.

Vote America texted over 3 million unregistered voters on this year’s holiday with voter registration links and information, while also sharing video montage calls to action on social media.

Coming off of its successful inaugural Civic Health Month in August, Vot-ER registered over 1,000 people on National Voter Registration Day using social media outreach and its network of thousands of health care providers.

The Voter Participation Center used National Voter Registration Day as a hook to conduct media outreach around empowering eligible voters to participate in the 2020 election, resulting in coverage in top-tier national and state outlets. VPC’s partnership with Jones Soda was featured in several outlets on the holiday, and VPC amplified the day on social media as well.

In addition to helping spearhead the Vote For Your Life campaign to get audiences ready to vote, ViacomCBS took internal actions to make sure its domestic employees were registered and empowered to participate in the elections. On National Voter Registration Day, ViacomCBS CEO Bob Bakish announced several new civic engagement-friendly employee policies ensuring the flexibility and support they needed to engage in the democratic process including a flexible work schedule to vote, encouraging a no-meetings policy on Election Day, providing paid time off for employees to work as poll workers and creating a new civic-hours volunteer program. ViacomCBS was also a holiday sponsor.

VH1 joined the Vote for Your Life campaign via social media along with other ViacomCBS brands.

When We All Vote and its partners, including #VoteTogether expanded the holiday to an entire week of action, with social media pushes, grassroots mobilization, corporate partnerships to drive voter registration, and a special full-day Instagram Live featuring Michelle Obama, Jennifer Lopez, Chris Paul, and more.

On National Voter Registration Day Voto Latino registered 8,173 individuals using digital tools, including 3,000+ registrations in Texas alone. VL blasted out calls to action on social media to get audiences and communities registered that day and beyond. VL mobilized their roster of influencers to amplify the message of registering to vote, receiving over half a million engagements on Instagram through posts from Salma Hayek, Los Tigres Del Norte, Chicano Batman and Ozomatli on Facebook, as well as over 69 million impressions on Twitter. Hillary Clinton and Luis Fonsi retweeted, while Chelsea Handler, Julian Castro, co-Founder Rosario Dawson and STARZ’ official account shared original posts. Members of the VL Impact Council created unique content, like a register to vote video by model Camilla Morrone that received nearly 700k views and an essay in Harper’s Bazaar written by supporter and model-activist Joan Smalls. Lastly, Voto Latino engaged 254 volunteers across the country in vote tripling, sending out 185,000 peer-to-peer text messages asking folks in Arizona, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Florida to get three friends registered to vote.

Walmart shared voter registration information with its associates and customers through internal emails and intranet postings, in-store displays, and calls to action in stores and online throughout the day.

YMCA created a voting landing page and used social media calls to help register voters on National Voter Registration Day encouraging their affiliates in over 10,000 neighborhoods to engage voters.

As part of its YWomenVote campaign, YWCAs led local voter registration and issue education activities, including many on National Voter Registration Day, hosted 7 issue education town hall events and presidential candidate forums, and conducted research that assessed women’s concerns and priorities about caregiving, racial justice, economic security, health, and gender-based violence.
