We’re joining forces with HeadCount and Participant Media to get you amped up and ready to go ahead of the big day! HeadCount was one of the organizations behind the founding of National Voter Registration Day in 2012, and they’ll bring us back in time for a look at how some of their artists have participated in the holiday over the years — and how they’re planning to pull out all the stops for this year’s holiday. We’ll also feature some of the everyday heroes from our partner network who are getting voters registered in new and innovative ways this year despite all the challenges being thrown their way.

Talking to potential voters in a way that is effective and compelling is key to helping you register lots of voters at your event this September 22! We know that this year, “talking” could be in-person and/or online, so we’ll be sure to include best practices and tips for all kinds of interactions with visitors to your event.

We know that planning your voter registration event this year may be trickier given the COVID-19 pandemic. To help you out, we’ll be organizing a webinar with tips for planning both in-person and online events. Speakers will share stories of how their organizations have adapted voter registration work since the start of the pandemic, including the incorporation of public health safety measures and/or the use of digital registration tools. We’ll also feature some of our new resources, including a guide on how to “COVID-Proof” your in-person event, our communications toolkit, state-specific guides for voter registration, and a guide to digital tools.
